Bill O'Connell
Dr. Bill O'Connell is a Distinguished Engineer and the CTO for Business Intelligence for IBM Information Management. Bill is responsible for the business intelligence architecture and technical strategy across both the DB2 and BI organizations at IBM. This includes aligning IBM Software and Hardware Systems Group as well as IBM Business Consulting Services for BI. In this role, Bill owns the BI integration and technical directions for DB2, Data Warehouse Edition, Balanced Configuration Unit as well as the BI vertical market technical solutions.
Prior to joining IBM, Dr. O'Connell was an Architect of the NCR Teradata Database System. Bill also has been an Adjunct Professor teaching database engineering for over 15 years at such schools as Princeton University and University of Toronto.
