Michael Gorman
For years Michael M. Gorman has been involved in standards development activities of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Mike has long served as the Secretary of the committee developing the SQL standard.
Mike Gorman is the founder of Whitemarsh Information Systems. He has been Secretary of the ANSI Database Committee for 30 years and he co-authored all the SQL standards. He has delivered data management consulting and training to a number of Fortune 100 companies, as well as State and local governments. Mike has authored numerous books, contributed to The Data Administration Newsletter, and taught at a number of universities, at Data Management Association (DMA) chapters, and at International DMA conferences.
Data Access and Data Services Workshop
At the DataServices World conference, Mike was the moderator for the Data Access and Data Services Workshop. The workshop included a panel of experts who presented a hands-on session focusing on data access and data services issues, problems and solutions. The panel members included:
