Universal Services for SOA, WOA, Cloud and XML Data
XML end-to-end architectures are a natural follow-on to SOA: XML for the user interface, XML for data interchange, and XML for storage. Universal Services are a set of database operations, including insert, update, delete, and query, that expose stored XML as Web service operations. These services enable setting up database Web service operations quickly, for example for prototyping. The services then allow users to query and modify XML data stored in the XML column through REST or SOAP, which can serve as a basis for further development of various applications, such as forms or SOA applications.
This talk describes how you can get started with configuring, testing, and modifying the Universal Services to build complete XML end-to-end applications - and how the services play their part in agile application development. Demonstrations and use cases, in the context of pureXML, are used throughout the presentation.
